Title: Bring Me Sunshine, Bring Me Rain
Author: [livejournal.com profile] alyse
Pairing: Lorne/Zelenka
Rating: PG
Disclaimer: Stargate: Atlantis, the characters and universe are the property of Stargate (II) Productions, Showtime/Viacom, MGM/UA, Double Secret Productions, Gekko Productions and the Sci-Fi Channel. This story is written solely to share a love of the show, not for profit.
Author's Notes: Written as a pinch hit for [livejournal.com profile] leaper182 for the Czech is in the Male Thing-a-Thon. [livejournal.com profile] leaper182's request was rain, tablets, mission; moment in time; Radek/Carson, Radek/Rodney, Radek/Lorne. I went with Radek/Lorne.

Thanks go to [livejournal.com profile] aithine for the beta.

Summary: On Atlantis, 'eccentric' is contagious. In fact it's enough to drive even the strongest man to the brink of naked rain dancing.

Leah wrote me a fic. A Torchwood/SG:A crossover, that she posted to [livejournal.com profile] sga_flashfic last night.

It's just...

Go read it. I love it so, so much! It's just... the angst, and the love, and the... the... God, I can't even find the words to describe it. It's about loss and love and Jack and Rodney and John and it's so in character, and I love Elizabeth and her smart observations and the way that Jack is described (so, so spot on) and Vala! And...

Like a Dream in the Morning

Summary: John's Dead. Rodney can save him. Crossover with Torchwood

Do you want to know a secret?
There's something moving in the dark.
And it's coming, Jack Harkness.
It's coming for you

Torchwood
Just because I can.

In Defense of Honor by [livejournal.com profile] mmmchelle, a lovely and incredibly funny twist on the 'dark side' challenge on [livejournal.com profile] sga_flashfic.

Now, I'm normally a complete angst hound but unfortunately so far nothing in the challenge has appealed. But this one, with it's totally wonderful skewed take on what 'dark side' actually means...

I'll be over here going 'tee hee hee!'
Title: Spindrift

Title: Synaesthesia
Author: [livejournal.com profile] alyse
Rating: PG13
Category: After some discussion, I'm labelling this as 'mostly gen but with overtones of a John/Rodney/Teyla pre-relationship'
Spoilers: Season 2, through to Conversion
Words: 11,200
Summary: When he sleeps, he hears them in his dreams; skittering and chittering, just below the surface.
Notes: Written for [livejournal.com profile] angelic_mand for the [livejournal.com profile] atlantisbasics challenge and who asked for Post Conversion -Sheppard/Teyla/McKay, Sheppard/McKay or Weir/Teyla.

Disclaimer: Stargate: Atlantis, the characters and universe are the property of MGM and the Sci-Fi Channel. I am merely borrowing the characters for my own nefarious purposes.

Some of the dialogue in the last section (from Teyla greeting John to the first time she uses his name) is taken from the episode Conversion. The rest is all my own words.

It started life as a drabble for the drabble tree and kind of grew into something incredibly silly.

But it had to be done. Well, I had to do it anyway.

SG:A, kind of John/Rodney, silly, 892 words and sort of a kind of weird but not quite crossover with Babylon 5.

Yeah. That sums it up. Also, G rated.

Because Ivanova really *is* God. )

I definitely need an 'Ivanova is God' icon.

[ETA: OMG! I finally wrote 'aliens made them do it' fic! ::cackles::]

Good gen fic just been validated on Wraithbait. It's set post Siege III, but obviously few spoilers beyond Seige II except for a couple minor character spoilers, which if you're very, very spoilerphobic you might want to avoid before tonight.

One Equal Temper by Dr_Dredd (PG-13)

There have been some storming stories added to Wraithbait recently and I really, really need to update [livejournal.com profile] jamficrecs with them - in fact, with several pasted over the last couple of months. However a) I suck and b) we're off on a week's jaunt to the parentals tonight, so I need to pack, shop, pack, wash, pack and clean. And pack. So no time ::wail::

So I'm making a list, and checking it twice... Stories posted in the last couple of weeks. It's a start. And when I get time I'm going to go through the whole site and find the others I want to rec too.

More Than Enough by Tielan: General, Bates centric, rated G
He found himself watching her, although he caught himself before anything as unwary as actual admiration sprang up.

Gravesite by Rachael Sabotini: General, Elizabeth Weir, rated G
No people who turn their backs on death can be alive. Spoilers through the end of first season.

The Black Room by springwoof: General, Team, rated R, adult themes
"This is a really creepy place, Sir," said Ford.

Tower by Ellex: General, original character, rated G
"It was a whim that brought him to the tower." A little horror story written for SGA Flashfiction's 'city exploration' challenge.

It's actually amazing that all of these stories came about as a result of [livejournal.com profile] sga_flashfic. Bloody good comm, that.

Quite possibly the best SG:A gen story I've read to date has just been submitted to Wraithbait:

The Taste of Apples by Auburn.

Go. Read. Feedback. Make her write more.

For anyone not on Wraithbait mailing list, I give you the link to Spubba's masterpiece of a 'Get Rodney nekkid' game.

It's here. You'll need flash.

Well, bang went the whole [livejournal.com profile] davechicken, [livejournal.com profile] moonlettuce and hot vanilla milk fuelled humour idea for the [livejournal.com profile] sga_flashfic 38 minutes challenge.

Instead I have weird, angsty and long threesome porn.

...

Do you think the universe is trying to tell me something? I think it might be, especially as for some reason there are two sequels running around in my brain already (hence the title).

Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] davechicken and [livejournal.com profile] kageygirl for the comments and the beta.
