alyse: (blade - nightstalkers)

I will do a proper fic post, with headings and everything, at some point but in news that will surprise no one I wrote Blade: Trinity fic. Living is Easy, in fact, which is 50k's worth of porn more or less.

But I really just wanted to point you towards the absolutely gorgeous art that [personal profile] leyna did. Seriously. It is utterly beautiful and I am so, so lucky that she decided to claim my story.

It's here and, oh god, I love it to pieces.

So, this weekend gone I finally got around to acquiring Legend of the Seeker and it was fun. And by 'fun' I mean, of course, omg! Richard is so adorable and Kahlan is omg!squee! kickass and their love is so epic and UST and they can never consummate it but still manage to have omg hot sexx0rs or close to it on a regular basis and I bought the first book on Tues and it is like guilty sekrit bad!fic but I know I'll buy more and I have mainlined many of the eps and skimmed the rest looking for epic Richard and Kahlaness and Cara is omg!sofucking awesome and I've joined comms and acquired icons and I was casually skimming through the book on Tues and read the leather clad dominatrix scenes with Richard and Denna because it is guilty sekrit badfic but I was all 'why didn't they film this episode, huh?' with Claire and then I got home and watched more eps and THEY TOTALLY FILMED THAT EP! and then I changed my desktop wallpaper last night from Connor and Abby to unf!series 2 Richard...

I am totally fucking doomed. And could not be happier about it ::g::
A post! A post with actual content!

So, yesterday we made plans. These plans involved [ profile] moonlettuce, [ profile] davechicken and [ profile] alinak coming over to mine for lots of food, lots of fun and the finale of Primeval. Given the spoilers, we figured we'd need people to 'meep' with, because the episode looked scary to a complete wimp like me.

The day started off with [ profile] moonlettuce and I going on a fruitless search for the Connor Temple action figure. We trekked around the Metrocentre, and even phoned Fenwick, and everyone had sold out of the action figures entirely. We pretty much had the rest (I didn't get Lester and Claire didn't get the Helen/Claudia double pack) when we were last in town, and I'd picked up the anomaly incursion set for each of us on Thursday. Claire did get a plushie Rex in Toys R Us, which was as shit a store as usual. I hate that place so much, with its crappy layout and extraordinarily poor customer service. Unfortunately, there aren't many other toy shops in the Metro Centre.

We did, however, acquire a giant cookie for the evening. We had some discussion on what to write on the cookie. For some strange reason, it ended up being Dinosaurs Made Them Do It! ::innocent look:: I'd like to point out that that was [ profile] moonlettuce's suggestion. Mine had been the rather more sedate but slightly more obviously Primeval FTW!. But given the fact that we're both shippy about the show, it made sense. Also, more letters so more chocolate and vanilla icing!

On the way back to mine, we went to Tescos for some stuff I'd forgotten, and they still had Primeval action figures. Just not, unfortunately, Connor, who only came out a few days ago. Nick and Stephen were thrilled. Abby less so, until she was told she could watch.

I might have acquired a Lester. Nibble might possibly have set them all up on the living room floor in a battle formation, facing all of the monsters. We might also possibly have ordered Connor online from the manufacturer directly. But we're saying nothing incriminating.

And then [ profile] davechicken and [ profile] alinak turned up, and there were chips, dips, chocolate chip cookie and countdown to Primeval.

Which finally happened.

Spoilers for the ep )

So, I loved the whole episode, even the angsty bits. And I'm happy. And possibly desperate for Season 3.

Man, I so love that movie, plotholes and all.

Also, Eric is so clued into the big gay love, even if his parents are oblivious and Alan is almost sniffly at the end.

But best of all is the 'Stop, Billy!' scene. Man, oh, man, I love that scene.

::happy sigh::

(yes, [ profile] moonlettuce, I have been watching my replacement disk. Something has to make up for being forced to watch the Spongebob Movie again. It's not that it's a bad movie, per se, it's just that I could do without Nibble bouncing around like a thing possessed as he acts it out in sync with what's happening on the screen.)
