When I watched the show when it first aired, I shipped Max/Logan in season 1. Then season 2 happened, and Alec was so pretty but I'd shipped Max/Logan and their storyline got so angsty and ridiculous and 'omg! We must be apart! Woe!' And I got rather frustrated, and ending up watching it for the shiny.
And the Max/Alec grew on me, although I resisted out of loyalty at first.
These days, no resistance. They're so much fun! Even with the angst (which is a nice spicy addition to the bowl of glee!) but at least their angst has the potential for resolution rather than being dragged out until I just don't care anymore and am all, "Dude, just get over it and shag the pretty boy instead."
