Oh, I LOVE that final scene from Dawg Day Afternoon - the completely unprovoked way that he comforts Joshua, and the fact that he doesn't have to, but he does it anyway. However much he tries to hide it, there's some real caring behind the personality he lets everyone else see. He might not show it to everyone, but to those he chooses to let close, I think Alec would do anything for them, whether he admits to it or not. I really must go back and rewatch Dark Angel sometime soon.
