It's kind of a detective show, but with a twist. Rose and Maloney work for the Criminal Justice Review Agency, who work on appeals for people who may have been wrongly convicted. I did a pimping post about it here. That gives a background to the show and the characters.

Andrew is one of the guest stars, playing 18 year old Daniel Berrington who was convicted at age 10 for the brutal murder of an old age pensioner and now is eligible for release, as long as he demonstrates that he's repentent about it. But Daniel tells Rose that can't do that, because he doesn't actually remember committing the crime and is now starting to think that he didn't do it, and was just pressured into confessing.

He's very, very good in it, playing the role very ambiguously and a little creepily in some scenes, so that you're never entirely sure whether Daniel is innocent or whether he's trying to manipulate Rose. It's worth watching - although it was a series, each story (taking place over one or two episodes) is standalone, so you can watch them in isolation.
