Also written in response to a drabble by deinonychus_1 on the primeval_canon drabble tree, because I was already plotting something along these lines and... well. Sometimes you just have to indulge your inner sicko.

Jenny was good at her job, manipulating people. But dealing with them…

"It's not real. It can't..." The woman grabbed Jenny's wrist. One of her false nails was missing, the nail underneath bitten down to the quick. The others dug into Jenny's skin.

"This is a dream, right?" Her mascara was smeared, her eyes wide and shocked. "Please..."

Blood decorated the walls, a mute testimony to fight and flight. Torn flesh scattered, including a heart. Screaming in the distance: remote, dreamlike.

Jenny was good at her job. Remembered...

When in doubt, lie.

"We're going to get you out of here."
