Is it wrong that I keep picturing the guy from Moonlight when I think of Mick? (I can't help myself and it is hillllarious) and ye gods the world building that you sneak into the background. I read a paragraph and then I have to go back and read it again because "OHHHHHHHHHHH" hits and I'm connecting something back to the movieverse or picturing how far this stuff might extend in beyond them and you are really, really freaking good at this. I've envied your style for years and this story totally embodies why.
