I really got lucky with gifts this Yuletide. I got three - count them! three! - Hansel and Gretel fics that were various shades of wonderful, including two that ship my sole incest fic :D

I loved this one, oh how did I love it - it was snarky and wonderful, with Gretel kicking ass and Hansel holding her coat :D Or, more accurately, it's about Gretel coming to terms with her possession of magic, learning to understand and appreciate it, and some of the imagery is just breathtaking. I won't spoil it for you, but Gretel's eventual wand... yes :D It's just perfect and so her.

A look at how Hansel and Gretel came up with Hansel's 'medicine'. I always thought the sugar sickness was more akin to diabetes, but in this story it has a magical source and a magical cure and was a very interesting take. Plus, sibling interaction is always a plus :) Sweet and just the right amount of sibling sour.

A quiet - for a certain value of quiet that fits Hansel and Gretel's lifestyles :D - interlude following a particular disgusting hunt. The character voices are very strong in this one, and I love fics that are just about people connecting, where the world is somewhere else for a while. Lovely.

Apparently I have persuaded her to my porny ways. \o/ I'm taking that as a win :D

I also wrote two fics, which was fewer than I was hoping to write, but I'm a bit meh about them at the moment. Neither recipient has commented yet, but I know one of them is away until mid Jan at the earliest, because a friend of theirs was kind enough to let me know. The other appears to be a serial defaulter but on past form will comment eventually.

In September.

So... yeah. Don't think I'll be holding my breath for that one somehow :D

I'll post them eventually, but the funny thing is that there were 9 Hansel and Gretel fics posted this Yuletide.

And finally, I also got a lovely Leo/Cara fic from meridian_rose for the legendland Secret Santa Exchange. Really sweet and tender (as tender as Cara gets, anyway :D)
