I appear to have acquired a Sara-muse. How the hell did that happen?

My Sex Buddy - Cath/Nick
"What is... this?" Nick gestures between the pair of them while she drinks her coffee and tries to pretend she hasn't dreaded the question. Hasn't wondered herself a hundred times.
"Friendship," she says eventually.
"Friends?"
"With benefits." This time she meets his eyes. He looks sceptical. "What would you call it?" It comes out evenly. "What would you call me?"
He looks away, scratches at his stubble, sips at his coffee. Looks back at her with that cute frown of his.
"Girlfriend," he says firmly, his chin set stubbornly. "My girlfriend."
She's not a girl but she kisses him anyway.

My Monster - Cath/Nick
Lindsey's drawing, leaning against Nick, who's watching TV. He's a good guy, more at ease with Lindsey now although realising that they came as a package terrified him at first.
"Nick?" Lindsey asks, still absorbed. "Monsters don't really exist, do they?"
For a split second she sees it all in his eyes - his babysitter, Nigel Crane, every sicko they deal with on a daily basis. Then he smiles, leaning forward to brush Lindsey's hair behind her ear. His eyes stay haunted but his touch is gentle.
"No, honey. They don't."
He makes a good dad, in spite of his fears.
~*~
My Brother, My Keeper - Sara, Nick friendship
Nick's bugging her. There's only a month between them; she already has an older brother and even he isn't as overbearingly big brotherly as Nick can be, fussing over her, trying to set her up on dates with 'a good guy. You'd like him, Sara.'
Yeah. Sure.
Sometimes she longs for the days of their awkward flirting rather than this... sibling thing but then he spends two hours listening to her whine without complaint and buys her a chocolate milkshake at lunch just because.
Sometimes Nick bugs her but sometimes she must bug him too.
It's the price of friendship.

My Hero - Cath/Nick
The first time Lindsey threw up over Nick, he froze like a deer in headlights. She just sighed and went into 'Mom' mode, calming Lindsey down, wiping away her tears and giving her hug, then cleaning her up and sitting next to her bed, stroking her hair until Lindsey went to sleep.
When she came out Nick was ineffectually wiping up the mess on the floor and still looking a little green about the gills. He sat back on his heels and gave her a wan smile, his hair still damp from his shower.
"Welcome to the family," she said.
~*~
My Blind Date - Sara, Nick friendship
This is the last time she's letting Nick set up a blind date for her. First and last. She smiles at her date through gritted teeth as he starts on yet another story about Nick - one of several he's regaled her with tonight. She knows Nick's not arrogant enough to set her up with a guy who thinks the sun shines out of his ass.
Right?
Then the light dawns and her smile becomes predatory. Nick might be a smart guy, but he can be remarkably obtuse. "So, Todd..." she begins, leaning forward. "When did you realise you were gay?"
