I was hoping to finish this ficlet last night, so that I could post it on [livejournal.com profile] janissa11's birthday, but twas not to be. However, here it is for [livejournal.com profile] janissa11 and [livejournal.com profile] damerel who encouraged me when the bunny first hit. It hasn't been beta'd, but I didn't want Em to have to wait any longer :)

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] davechicken for letting me bounce titles off her, and pointing out a stray comma that would be better as a semi-colon. ::smooches::

I announced this friends only a week or so again, but just in case anyone else is reading this LJ (apart from the people I know are still reading this journal - I love the stats on my new website. Pretty, shiny, informative stats ::veg::) I've uploaded my response to the A Thousand Whispers: The CSI T.S. Eliot Challenge. It is, surprisingly enough, Catherine and Nick orientated. Only it's not just Catherine and Nick orientated:

Title: Objects in Motion
Pairing: Catherine/Nick/Warrick. Contains both slash and het elements. It's a threesome fic. That means just what it says on the box - the three of them getting jiggy with each other.
Rating: NC-17. Definitely NC-17.

It's Warrick who gets to possess Nick in a way that she never could, but it's Nick she wants to possess.

Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] angellemyst for the betaing duties. The story can also be found on Always Thinking.

As this is the first time I've dabbled in the realms of threesome fic, I'd love to know what people think - what didn't work as well as what did.
Title: Rodeo
Fandom: CSI: Crime Scene Investigation
Pairing: Catherine Willows/Nick Stokes
Genre: Romance, PWP, humour
Rating: NC17

Do you know what they do to teases where I come from, Nicky?
Personally, I'm blaming this on [livejournal.com profile] misssimm or [livejournal.com profile] angellemyst. Whichever one of them came up with the [livejournal.com profile] csi100 Alias show titles challenge. There I was, merrily trying to write a 100 word drabble from Warrick when I discovered that the Warrick muse I'd acquired had Season 1's verbosity.

He. Would. Not. Shut. Up.

So now I have this 1000+ word ficlet instead. I don't think he's got anything more to say - and I'm currently strenuously resisting the Sara-muse who has taken up residence in my brain and is demanding equal air time, even if she's trying to say that a threesome fic (in POV rather than anything else) would be good. She even came up with a title, damn her, but so far Nick, thankfully, is being unusually quiet about this one.

So, I have Warrick having said his piece, and I'm not sure I'm happy with it so I'm doing that 'posting to draw a line under it and look at it objectively' thing that my brain actually seems to need me to do before it gains sufficient distance because staring at it for nigh on a fortnight isn't achieving anything, and it's only two damned pages, and besides, I'm currently trying to get Catherine and Nick into bed (well, the couch anyway) and I need Warrick (and Sara) to shut up for a bit.

I also need more punctuation in that last sentence.

Parity )

Hmmmm... If anyone can help me put a finger on why I've just got this vague feeling of disatisfaction with it, I'd be grateful to hear what you've got to say. Maybe it's because it reads more like meta than fic? Damned if I know.

I'd also like Sara to shut up, please. Anyone want a high-strung and snippy muse on long term loan?

Her day is full of vivid colours - the vibrant reds of fresh blood spatter, the purple of livid decay. The rich, raw flashes of violet violence written large on the twisted faces of those confronted with the cool, subdued hues of the science she practices.

Even in the lab she's not safe. Tests that come out deep blue for gun shot residue, purple for cocaine. Tests that stain pure white cotton swabs bright pink for blood traces. She's surrounded by swirling, dizzying rainbow shades, a riotous carnival of colours.

She dreams in black and white, and for that she's thankful.
Title: All that Glitters
Fandom: CSI: Crime Scene Investigation
Pairing: Catherine Willows/Nick Stokes
Rating: NC17

She's always lived in the moment. No regrets, don't look back and view everything as an opportunity rather than a problem.

Of course, that kind of attitude is how she ended up married to Eddie.

Catherine compares, contrasts and comes.

Many, many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] terimaru, [livejournal.com profile] munchkinott and [livejournal.com profile] angellemyst for cheerleading and/or reviewing duties.
