This challenge required us all to recast the characters as if the actors who actually played them were not available. Which meant that I couldn't, unfortunately, do what I was intending to do as soon as I saw the challenge and recast them using actors of colour, but I've been informed we'll have that option for something else, so I didn't sulk for too long.
Well, apart from doing this at the last minute, obviously ::g::
So given the parameters of the challenge - the actors have to match either the physical descriptions in the books or be a good physical match for the actors currently playing the characters - here's my proposed recasting, below the cut. The challenge required the recasting of a minimum of five characters, and had to include the main three characters - Cara, Kahlan and Richard (poor Zedd never seems to be classed as 'main cast') - so I went with Zedd and Shota as my extras. There also had to be a minimum of five pics of each in the pic spam, which had to be altered in some way. Fear me and my sudden discovery today of the 'masks' feature in photoshop.

So, aithine and temaris and, to a lesser extent, moonlettuce because she's smart enough not to be on IM of an evening have been listening to me squee about Legend of the Seeker for about three weeks now. And aithine says that now I've acquired high res screencaps - like about 100,000 high res screencaps covering both series to date - I have to do a pic!spam. And I am her bitch, so I have to do that.
It's taken me about three hours to trim this down and this is just a small sample of the reasons I love this show so freaking much. I couldn't use many of my favourite kick ass scenes where Kahlan and Cara and Richard save the world, because obviously blurry screencaps when they're kicking ass and taking names, but here are a few that showcase some of the main attractions for me. True Love! Swords! Sorcery!Pirates. Damn it. I should have included some pics of the ninja!nuns. Too many reasons to watch! So I went for the shallow ones ::g:: You know. Just so you can dip your toes in.
