There is a reason why Tem and I shouldn't be allowed to talk on twitter. It's because at some point, 140 characters aren't enough and we end up creating not only fic comms but challenge fic comms.
We had this (less than 140 charas!) conversation which resolved into 'isn't it sad how these days (generic) you're reluctant to write id-fic because people would ~judge you. Also, fanfiction? Srs bsns.'
So we ended up declaring that we'd have a month of shameless id-fic. June, for preference, this year because then![[community profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/community.png)

mmom would be over. (Next year it's totally running in March, just so we can have 'The Ids of March' as our puntastic title!)
And thusid_fest/id_fest was born. We even have an AO3 collection. Because that's just how we roll.
So come join us, and free the id!
