Alyse: last of her breed

Totes looking forward to Doctor Who tonight. I don't know why - I'm not spoiled and I haven't even read the synopsis that comes with TV guides and the like. In fact, I don't remember the trailer from last week and my memory is so bad at the moment I can't even think what it was about.

I think it's just because it's Saturday! And it's Doctor Who! And in spite of the fact that I realised yesterday that it's Eurovision tonight, Doctor Who is not cancelled! It's ridic how it's the little things that can make me happy at the moment.

I appear to have flaked completely on mmom/mmom. And I was doing so well. I keep thinking I should catch up, and then I get further and further behind, and then I'm 'meh'. The writing thing seems to have stalled over the last few days, and I'm sure your friends pages are very glad for it ::g:: At some point I will have to count the amount of words I've written over the last six weeks, but today is not that day. Today is a sleepy 'I woke up at 3.30 again and couldn't get back to sleep' day. I finally nodded off at just after six, then Nibble woke me up at 8 then I had to get up to get The Sun. Do not judge me! They were doing the Lego thing that The Mirror did last year, and Nibble is now the proud owner of a Lego X-Wing. The problem is they sell out really, really quickly, so I had to get there before 9.

Tomorrow may require a trip to the Metro Centre, since I don't think that the local WH Smith is open on a Sunday.

And thus is my exciting life. Tomorrow, Costco!

Also, while I don't normally do the love meme thing, I'm feeling all wallowy today, probably because of lack of sleep. I've spent the last couple of days stalking you all on it, so I figured I might as well sign up myself, even though I'll be all 'wah, no one will comment!' (I've felt so bad for some of the people who I don't know but who don't have comments, I came ~this close~ to stalking their LJs so I could pretend to know them and leave 'you're awesome!' comments - probably for the same reason I've been a) writing porn, b) eating carbs like it's going out of fashion, and c) crying at ridiculous adverts. And pictures of kittens. I am owning my ridiculousness).

Given that I love writing about kissing, I nicked this version of the kissing meme from shetiger: Give me two characters I write (or that you think I might write) from the same or different canons, and a prompt, and I'll tell you about one time they kiss.

Just a few caveats:

- I can't guarantee fic, especially if it's characters I just don't write or don't think I can write, but I will do my best

- if I end up with a fic that's more than 500 words and fits one of the unfilled prompts on my kissbingo card, I will shamelessly nick it ::g:: And if you're looking for inspiration for a prompt... ::whistles innocently:: [ETA: Okay, people, I need an actual prompt, not just a square, because that's cheating!]

- if end up with a Legend of the Seeker drabble that's 100 words, I will shamelessly nick it for the legendland hiatus challenge ::g:: Hey, it's no different from asking the old flist for prompts, and I have to write 15 of the buggers before 30 April!

- people who are currently unwell (eyes certainly flisties with sympathy) get first dibs. Of course, that assumes that anyone is interested...
