Blame Anais for this one. We were talking months ago, and she came out with the first sentence and, well, a fic challenge of sorts was born. This was supposed to be the start of a larger piece, but things often have a fashion of ending other than they're supposed to. After not touching it for months I finally finished it in the early hours of the New Year, and decided I'd said all I wanted to say. No doubt I'll tweak it, but I wanted to start the New Year off in the right way :)

It's Jurassic Park III, Alan/Billy of course and a bit of an odd thing.

Notes: After watching JP III, and reflecting that someone who has been through the kind of experiences Alan and Billy have, in Alan's case twice, is bound to have some psychological fall out from it, this bunny presented itself. It's not a happy one. I really do suggest you read the warnings.

Warnings: Dark fic, including blood play, angst and a not particularly healthy relationship.

( This isn't about pleasure, not this time. This is about everything else. Everything they don't talk about. They never talk about Isla Sorna. )

So, this is new for me and I'm kind of interested to know what everyone thinks. Too twisted? Too overblown and gothic? Have I screwed up anywhere? I know it's sort of a twist on the characters, but I'm hoping it's not too OOC simply because I can't see anyone escaping from Isla Sorna, after seeing the things they've seen, and not being psychologically scarred to some degree.

Also, can anyone American confirm Alessandro Nivola's eye colour for me please? They're definitely what we would call 'hazel' in the UK, which is that golden, greeny brown, but I've got a strong suspicion that 'hazel' when used by Americans refers to a totally different eye colour. Which strikes me as odd ::g:: but I'm sure there was a discussion about it on M_A at some point when Ewan's eyes (blue) were frequently described as 'hazel'.
