It does, Alyse. I have to admit, today (end of my weekend, back to work at 3) I'm feeling pretty resigned. I've sent my letters, I've done what I know to do. It's not my fight anymore, if it ever was. I wrote a lot of fiction yesterday, wrote a lot this morning. I'm ready to get back into a groove of some kind.
I honestly believe that GE will be hired back. For the reasons you cite above. If he is not, I'll have another period of real unhappiness. It won't be fair, and it will not be RIGHT. But right now, I'm going to whistle past the graveyard and trust that this Mike guy knows his shit. I don't think GE would have announced what he did, had he really not known whether or not it would do any good. I think he knows that that's what is required before the rest can take place. So he ate his crow, like the good boy he honestly is, and things will be made right.
I may be in a fantasy place, but if it lets me keep on writing, I'm okay with that. Now I'm just keeping fingers crossed that it's all true. ::swallowing::
