It's been ages and ages since I've taken (or had) the time to do a meme. So why not this one.
Name your top six TV shows right now, before reading the questions:
1. Stargate: Atlantis
2. Supernatural
3. Doctor Who
4. CSI
5. CI5: The New Professionals
6. Stargate SG-1
(I had to think - I am unfortunately fandomly monogamous and haven't had many fandoms in my life.)
1. Who is your favorite character from #2?
Dean. Dean Dean Dean Dean Dean. Deeeeeean.
::fans self::
2. Who is your least favorite character from #4?
Sara. Don't hate her but omg! The Emo!
3. What would a crossover between #1 and #5 include?
Threesome sex.
...
What?
4. Who is your favorite ship from #6?
Jack/Daniel.
5. If you were to set one person from #3 and one person from #6 on a blind date, who would they be?
It would have to be The Doctor and Sam. They could outgeek each other.
Or maybe Mickey and Teal'c. Because Mickey would be so awed and could pick up some good asskicking tips.
Or maybe Adric and Sam, because he would annoy her more than McKay even. And be so freakin' young she'd be freaking herself.
6. If you could meet one person from #4 and spend the day with them, who would it be, and what would you do?
Nick. And we could go to a ballgame. I've never been to a ballgame but I suspect Nick's enthusiasm would be fun to watch, and he'd make sure everyone around him had fun too.
7. If you could change one thing about #2's plot line, what would you change?
I think I'd have more Dean-centric episodes. I mean, we've got lots of Sam being all mysteriously psychic and stuff, but Dean is more than just comic relief. I must admit, I prefer the episodes that are more balanced than Sam-centric, which is why I prefer the eps towards the end of the season, where Dean shows he's more than a pretty face.
I'm a sucker for a man who's broken underneath and masks it with bravado and humour.
Also, more pranking. I thought they were adorable in Hell House, especially Sam's little 'I've scored a point!' routine. Man, I'm going to cap it and make my first Sam icon.
8. Explain a relationship between two people (not necessarily romantic) from show #5, and why you like the relationship between them.
Sam/Chris aaaaaallll the way, baby! It's... they're a partnership and they have each other's backs and there's a slow growing of trust between them (but not that slow - see Phoenix for just how far Sam will go to save Chris, even early on in their partnership).
Plus, Sam in a cop's uniform. That's sex right there. No wonder Chris can't resist. And Chris in his naval whites? Yummy.
9. If the lead title characters (first name in the credits) from #1 and #3 were both drowning, and you could only save one, who would it be?
John. The Doctor would regenerate.
10. If you could change the title characters' order in the credits for #4, what order would you choose?
I don't think I would, actually. First there's Gil then I think Catherine - and I think that's correct - and the others are in alphabetical order. Which I think is fair.
I'd probably not have Brass and Al at the end, but also in alphabetical order, but then I don't understand what's so cool about the 'also featuring' thing in terms of credits, although I understand that it's supposedly a cool thing to have.
11. If you were able to add a new character, any kind of character you wanted, to the storyline for #6, what would the character be like and what would their role be?
Huh. I don't know, to be honest. Maybe someone like the cute NSA agent for Sam, who she could spark off because Sam needs some loving too and since Pete's now gone she doesn't get enough.
12. What happens in your favourite episode of show #2?
Dean angsts. And hurts so pretty.
So that's several of them then. But Faith and Devil's Trap have to be up there, as does Dead in the Water. And I love that scene in Phantom Traveller where Dean realises that he has to fly. His 'Oh Man! Really?' is just perfect.
Probably, on balance, Devil's Trap. Dean is just so Dean in that - fierce and protective and so easily hurt by the truth of his place in the Winchester family. I think it drives home the truth that Dean sees himself as expendable if it means that his Dad and brother make it okay and that he thinks they see him like that too.
13. If you could kill off one of the characters of #1, who would it be and how would you do it?
Hmmm. I don't think I want to kill anyone off who hasn't been killed off already.
14. If you got the chance to visit the set for either show #3 or show #5, which would you choose?
So... I have a choice of a quarry somewhere in England or... a quarry somewhere in Wales?
Well, given that CI5 last filmed in 1998 and Doctor Who is still going strong, I'd say 3.
15. So, I saved the best question for last. If you could date anyone from any of these shows, which show and which person?
Not Dean. I love Dean, I do, but he'd be so much like hard work, flirting with the waitresses, never letting you anywhere near who he really is.
Nick would be a complete gentleman, as would Daniel, and I think that Sam Curtis would be fun and cultured but the evening would probably end in explosions (especially if Chris found out about it) so I suspect The Doctor. It would be literally out of this world, and I quite fancy having dinner somewhere exotic.
