There was more to this scene originally, but taste_is_sweet was quite right when she said that it dragged the scene down and she was getting bored. Some of it - the stuff about King meeting Danica for the first time - ended up moving to later in the fic, and some was simply trimmed. Plus it means this part fitted into one LJ post, whereas it didn't before.
