Tasha and I, after some discussion and following the fascinating threads in my own LJ, have decided to create an LJ community for NPs. This is a closed community, meaning that only members can start a discussion however it's easy enough to become a member. Just let me know you want to be one :) It still means that non-members and non LJ users can post comments; they just can't post new topics to the community.
The reason we went for a closed community was because of the ability to provide a safe environment for members to post topics they might not want to discuss onlist, because we didn't think we'd have that many members anyway and because it provides the ability to make 'friends only' posts that can only be seen by other members of the community... just in case the conversation gets a bit risque, shall we say :) As if...
It's very easy to post to the journal once you're a member, either by:
- going to http://www.livejournal.com/update.bml?mode=full and choosing Journal to post in: ci5Ops
- from the client on your machine, choosing livejournal > active journal and selecting 'ci5ops' from the options available.
Selecting security levels etc is just the same as it is for your own livejournal.
So... who wants join?
