Just a reminder that the deadline for this challenge is fast approaching - Tuesday 28th February. So if you've a yen for canon based stories, please go and sign up here.
As Leah's told you, I am planning on writing a fic for you both. Anyhow, I emailed Leah asking her what she would like in the fic, the pairing and her fave episode.
She did tell me that you love Carter/McKay pre McKay/Sheppard and McKay/Sheppard/Weir, (I did email you but *shrugs* what with all the fictions for wraithbait and the crazy but wonderful world of RL it more than likely got lost-heh).
Anyhow, would you like anything specific? And is there a particular episode you like, (either season one or two) so that I can try and set it during that timeline?
I'm still debating over McKay/Sheppard/Weir and Carter/McKay pre McKay/Sheppard. But if you give me an indication of what you would like for both parties it ought to help-or at least I hope it does.
I am planning on making a start either this week (or rather weekend) or once I've gotten three of my assignments out of the way. Which ought to be this weekend/early next week.
Sorry for the spamming. But dude,(blame Finding Nemo) they do say spamming or at least decent spamming is a person's best friend.
God, I am such a flake. I do remember getting your mail (now :)) but I think it came when the Nibble and I had flu and so got lost among everything else.
I really am sorry for not replying before now. And honestly, I am not fussed :) It's absolutely lovely of you to offer, and Leah has given you a complete list of my likes and dislikes, being so much more organised than I am :) so anything you feel like writing would be absolutely wonderful :)
Yeah, *coughs* if I have to be honest, the main reason why I am *ponders* writing/dedicating a fic to you both is as a result of the whole flying monkeys comment heh. But you have to admit they worked wonders in The Wizard of Oz.
Anyhow, Leah did give me your likes-pairing wise, but as to dislikes, she did not give me any. That being said, I didn't actually ask her.
So what are your dislikes in the wonderful world of SGA/SG1 fandom? Cliches? Heh, cliches are so overrated and overused...and yet, amusing in the right fiction.
McKay being the lustful one? Sheppard suddenly becoming a wonderful kirk and either McKay or Weir being the only ones who can...unkirk him? Where the heck does the whole kirkness idea come from, anyway?
I know it's from ST, but what can I say? I watched it the once when I was five years old, at my grandma's *snickers* and got so bored.
(My personal fave) McKay being a genius but rather oblivous to Sheppard's affections towards him.
These are only some of the things I can think of that seem to popular in the SGA fandom. Which may or may not irrate you *shrugs* I know that you (like many others) ♥ penguins and monkeys, but they'll be kinda hard to fit into the fic. Unless, say, Rodney was to for some insane reason purchase a monkey or penguin.
