This is so totally out of left field, but I've had a hellish night with LJ, and you're my last outlet before the night ends. I've been trying (futilely) to add a tag list to my lj, but for some reason it won't work. I noticed that the McShep group has a tag list, and your LJ has links organized by category, so I was wondering if you knew a way to fix this, since I tried everything I've found on LJ Help Groups (I'm at the point where I'm about to surrender my password to someone who knows Layers and CSS better than me just to get it looking right. I friggin' redesigned my entire journal tonight, accidentally erased a Layer, and had to completely redo the colors, and something still is off, but all the colors are blending into one at this time, so I'm giving up for the night.).

Do you mean add a 'tag' button next to each entry so that you can click on it and tag the entry? Or to list the relevant tags already applied next to each post? Because both of those functions are part of the standard layouts that I chose for this LJ and mckay_sheppard.

Or do you mean the link on my lj that leads to http://alyse.livejournal.com/tag/ ? Because I just put a standard hyperlink in the links list to lead to that. The same for mckay_sheppard. I just used the links function to link to key tags, for example the link 'first time' on the right side of the community is simply a hyperlink to http://community.livejournal.com/mckay_sheppard/tag/first+time

In other words, the links to individual tags is done manually. The only way I think you could have your tags to update automatically is somehow build this page: http://nemesina77.livejournal.com/tag/ into your layout in a frame so that it automatically loads. That page does contain all of your tags, so that if you add a new tag it shows up there.

I don't know how to do iframes in layers, unfortunately, but I'm quite happy linking to the overall tags page for how rarely I use them.

I figured it out! I was just obviously having some sort of LJ Hysterical Blindness and not seeing things that were right in front of my face, but thanks for helping!
