Are you trying to post to LJ via a client (something that you downloaded and installed on your computer, like semagic) or via the update journal webpage?
If you're doing it via the webpage, if you look at the bottom of the page, next to the 'post' button, there's a drop down list. Your username will be in it, and you simply click on the little arrow next to it and you'll be given a list of all the communities you have posting access to it. Select mckay_sheppard and voila!
If you're posting via a client, there will be a similar box somewhere and you need to do the same thing. The only thing with a client is that if you've only recently joined the community, you may need to log out and then log back in again for your client to update the list of communities. So if you don't see the comm in the list, try logging out and logging back in again.
THANK YOU! I had no idea that such a feature was even present on my posting page. I thought I had to go through the community page.
... I'm pretty sure I read this but since I'm already replying I'll take a second to ask - is it okay to post a link to my personal LJ for a review I wrote of the newest SGA ep? Or should I copy and paste my review into a new post under a cut?
If it relates to McKay and Sheppard and the relationship between them, it's okay to post to the community and whether you post a link to your LJ or to the community in full is entirely up to you :)
