Impromptu Drabble

medie is having an impromptu drabble-a-thon in the comments to her post. So I, of course, wrote Abby/Connor and I must be the only person I know who takes half an hour to write a drabble.

Abby spends her days tending to Rex, watching over him but not like a hawk. Not like any predator. She can't protect Rex anymore than Connor could protect Caroline - from Leek or herself - but she hovers anyway.

She doesn't have much sympathy for Caroline; just enough to mean she can't hate her. The leftover anger has nothing to do with Rex, not really.

If Connor has his own anger, he's not sharing it. He's not sharing anything with her and she just wants him back, aches for it.

Abby spends her days tending to Rex because Rex will let her.
