Plane here. Crew not. Delay = 30 mins at least. moonlettuce,davechicken and alinak say hi!

Major panic when got here and Acer froze. Ended up having to turn it off. Then it wouldn't turn back on again. Consequence = panicked text to temaris asking her to bring her recovery usb stick as I was at airport.

However, as you will probably note, after about five or ten minutes of letting it sit there, it finally did something that resulted in it trying to reboot itself twice and then managed it. Heave sigh of relief but still twitchy.

Acer keyboard small and text in LJ input box even smaller. Result = telegraph style. Stop. Must stop. Stop.

It must have been afraid of moonlettuce stealing it ;) I see from her post that the diversionary tactics didn't work though - LOL.

Mine does that if I leave it on standby for too long and/or if the power is low and I thne putit on standby. Also had a heartattack when it first happened but it rights itself eventually, as you found out :)
