Legend of the Seeker - Recast for legendland

This challenge required us all to recast the characters as if the actors who actually played them were not available. Which meant that I couldn't, unfortunately, do what I was intending to do as soon as I saw the challenge and recast them using actors of colour, but I've been informed we'll have that option for something else, so I didn't sulk for too long.

Well, apart from doing this at the last minute, obviously ::g::

So given the parameters of the challenge - the actors have to match either the physical descriptions in the books or be a good physical match for the actors currently playing the characters - here's my proposed recasting, below the cut. The challenge required the recasting of a minimum of five characters, and had to include the main three characters - Cara, Kahlan and Richard (poor Zedd never seems to be classed as 'main cast') - so I went with Zedd and Shota as my extras. There also had to be a minimum of five pics of each in the pic spam, which had to be altered in some way. Fear me and my sudden discovery today of the 'masks' feature in photoshop.

I'm sure some of the casting won't be a surprise, given that temaris has already commented on a certain similarity between Richard and another BSO, indicating that apparently I have a 'type'. I'm sure I don't know what she means. [/lofty]

Sophia Myles as Cara Mason. Zedd: You must never speak your mind on any subject but always defer to the opinion of your masculine betters. Cara: There's no such thing.

How the hell is Zedd not main cast? He was there from the beginning, he was in pretty much every episode, he had his own solo episodes...sigh.

Yeah, we get it, he's not all young and hot and sexytimes. Poor Bruce Spence deserves better from fandom.
