Ma ship is canon, baby! For the first time in the history of forever, I have shipped a ship that becomes canon.
She kissed him! She kissed him! And it was as totally sweet and angsty Connorish as I could ever have hoped for. And he keeps his eyes closed all the way through. And his little smile afterwards just makes me grin. And he's completely in love, and she's completely realised and she finally kisses him and she does it slow and sweet and tenderly (and hands up all the 'Connor is a virgin but Abby will be gentle with him' fans).

It is such an adorable ship - they are mean for each other, after all Connor needs someone to protect him :).

He stood on tiptoes! When she kissed him. You can see him drop back down again once she's moved away.
I love this ship, and one of the reasons I love it is the subversion of traditional gender stereotypes while still keeping Connor as a bloke and Abby as a lass. You're right - she will keep him safe ::g:: He's the blushing virgin, the damsel in distress (on occasion), and she's the hero who sweeps him off his feet, but he still gets to save her every now and then, and he still leaves his boxers on the bathroom floor and he's a geek, but they don't make him a stereotypical a wimp or a wuss. And she still gets to do the girly thing without it, or the fact she knows martial arts and how to shoot, becoming a big deal or being fetishised. I love that so much.
In conclusion: eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

It's just so, so utterly perfect. It's like they knew exactly what we all wanted and for once actually gave it to us, right down to the fact that Connor was so stunned that he kept his eyes closed for long seconds after she'd stopped kissing him, and he was ON TIPTOES!

Primeval has been known to leave me horribly frustrated, when the writers go around killing off characters that I care about, but it's moments like this that remind me why I fell in love with this series in the first place.
I don't have the words for this, but 'absolutely lovely' is an approximation :)
